What did the Nazis do with the Amber Room?-Episode #03
Note to Listeners
We are sorry for the sound issues, such as the echo/reverb, throughout the episode. We are new at this whole production thing and we are trying to fix this in future episodes.
Episode Description
What did the Nazis do with the Amber Room when they stole it from the Russian’s Catherine Palace during World War II? Built in 18th century Prussia, the Amber Room covered more than 590 sq ft and contained over 6 tons of Amber. In 1716 it was gifted from Prussian King Frederick William I to his ally Tsar Peter the Great of the Russian Empire. Modern estimates of the room value it at over $500 million.
